the South East of England

Dobermann Club

Open Show

7th August 2005
at Our lovely new venue
Reigate Rugby Football Club

The South East of England Dobermann Club's open show on 7th August was a resounding success, much to the relief of our new Secretary, Lesley Peters and the rest of the Committee. Not only do we have a new Secretary but also a new venue in Reigate Rugby Football Club which is central to the South East and close to the M25. There was a good sized parking area, room to exercise the dogs if required, the refreshments provided by the venue were homemade and scrumptious and on a more mundane, but very important note, the toilet facilties were exceptionally clean compared to many such club houses around.
The weather was ideal for an outside show with alternate sun and cloud and rarely got too hot to be uncomfortable, although some of us got somewhat burnt, not realising just how often the sun was actually out.
We plan to use this venue again and hope more exhibitors will find their way there next year. The Committee would like to thank everyone who attended, our Judge Lesley Wright and Royal Canine for providing the gifts for the winners.
Judge Miss Lesley Wright (Sealandair) My thanks to the officers & comittee for the invitation to judge their Open show. Not the biggest of entries but some quality dogs were present on the day. It is such a shame that more exhibitors do not support their Club shows. All dogs had excellent temperaments.
